Frequently Asked Questions
-
I offer targeted advisory and legal services designed for clients with a specific, well-defined need, such as forming a U.S. entity, filing a trademark, reviewing a contract, or responding to a USPTO Office Action. These services are ideal when you want focused guidance without a long-term engagement.
For more complex matters, I recommend scheduling a consultation first. If you move forward with an a la carte service after a consultation, the cost of the call is credited toward the service. -

“Advisory first” means the engagement begins with strategic guidance before legal drafting or execution. This ensures the work aligns with your broader business, IP, or risk considerations rather than addressing an issue in isolation.
-
Yes. Each a la carte service is offered at a flat fee for the scope described. If your matter requires additional work outside that scope, I will discuss options and pricing with you before proceeding.
-
I provide legal services under New York law and applicable federal law only. Where appropriate, I can provide advisory support and coordinate with local counsel in other jurisdictions.
-
Not always. Many clients book a la carte services directly. However, if you are unsure which service fits your situation, or if your matter involves multiple moving parts, a consultation is often the most efficient starting point.
-
A la carte services do not include ongoing representation, litigation, regulatory filings beyond the stated scope, or communications with third parties unless explicitly stated. Each service is narrowly scoped to deliver clarity and efficiency.
-
These services are commonly used by founders, investors, creators, and growing businesses who need experienced guidance on a specific issue without entering into a long-term engagement.
